Talented filmmakers shortlisted for our 10th annual Moving Image Awards
We are delighted to announce the shortlisted finalists for our annual Moving Image Awards, which is now in its 10th year.
The Awards, launched in 2014 in collaboration with the British Film Institute, celebrate the best work by Film and Media Studies students aged 14-19 in schools and colleges from around the UK. Over the past 10 years, we have given more than 40 awards to promising young filmmakers who have ventured into a range of careers, many within the creative sector. Furthermore, the competition has gained support from leading figures within the film industry, including film critic Anna Smith and screenwriter Kate Leys.
Commenting on the shortlist is our Film Studies Subject Officer, Jenny Stewart: “The Moving Image Awards is now 10 years old, and we are continuously amazed by the level of creativity shown in each submission. Whittling down to a shortlist has been extremely challenging for our judges, who were delighted by the quality of work. We are extremely grateful to the ongoing support of teachers and students, and we look forward to celebrating their work at the upcoming ceremony.”
